Kantishna & Denali National Park Alaska Tour and Travel Information

Kantishna & Denali National Park Alaska - Getting Here

The Denali National Park entrance is 240 miles north of Anchorage and 120 miles south of Fairbanks. Kantishna is another 95 miles at the end of the park road.

Transportation to the Denali National Park entrance can be made by way of the Alaska Railroad, motor coach, rental car, or by air taxi. Unfortunately, there are no regularly scheduled commercial flights to the park. Most Alaska vacation travelers combine two or more options for both variety and flexibility.

Transportation to Kantishna is only by shuttle or tour bus, or charter plane.  The bus ride to Kantishna takes almost a full day and visitors are treated to some of the most beautiful scenery in the world.  A stay at the Denali Backcountry Lodge in Kantishna is a favorite among visitors.
